100 YEARS OF SCOUTING
Celebrating the Adventure Continuing the Journey

PACK 470 & MASONIC SCOUTERS

The Connecticut Masonic Scouter Association and Hiram Lodge No. 18 has joined Cub Scout Pack- 470 of Newtown, CT as a sponsor of their program commemorating the 100 Years of Scouting in America. Community supporters include Women Involved in Newtown (WIN), Head O’ Meadow School, Middle School and Reed Intermediate School.

In conjunction with the ‘One Warm Coat’ program to benefit the Bridgeport Rescue Mission, Antonia Fotinopoulos, Committee Chair of Pack - 470 at Head O’ Meadow Elementary School is also chairing this particular program in all of the Cub Scout Packs located in Newtown. Cub Scouts are collecting used warm winter coats in their homes and neighborhoods and donating them to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission as a community service project to commemorate Scouting’s 100 Year Anniversary.

In support of our Cub Scout’s endeavor, the Freemasons of Hiram Lodge, No. 18 in Sandy Hook, are also collecting & donating as many winter coats as possible. Masons and Scouters wishing to donate ’One Warm Coat’ to the Scouts for this project may call Tom Maxwell at 203-426-3537 for pick up. Coats may cover adults to children in size. Thank you, my Brothers for supporting this noteworthy community service project.

Respectively submitted,

Thomas M. Maxwell II
Past Master, Hiram Lodge, No. 18
